Rita Garrod

Born and raised in Windhoek, Namibia, I moved to the Western Cape in 1988. A short stint in Gauteng followed between 1992 – 1995, after which we returned to the Western Cape and owner managed Le Pommier Restaurant for 8 years. I entered the property market in 2003 at Neelsie Properties and started Stellenbosch Destinations in 2004 – a small company that managed fully furnished self-catering guest accommodation in central Stellenbosch for 8 years. I joined ReMAX Oaktree in 2013 where I managed their full rental portfolio and finally returned to Neelsie Properties in June 2020, right in the middle of Covid lockdowns. Property has always intrigued me and I love building puzzles to match the right people with the right property as well as managing small renovation and upgrading projects to showcase a property just that little bit better. I am the proud mom of two incredible young men and spending time with them is priceless. Although I am task and career driven, the best “downtime” for me is a good book and beach holidays. A fabulous circle of friends and colleagues keeps me entertained and on my toes!
